Who can apply to the programs?
Our programs are open to students and young creators aged 18 and older. While we value passion and a strong work ethic, no prior on-set experience is required for our foundational training tracks. Our program is catered to career changers, individuals that have either completed school, or are no longer attending school and are of legal working age.
Is acceptance guaranteed?
Regrettably, admission cannot be guaranteed. The process is selective and contingent upon a thorough review applications and the availability of funding.
What is the typical time commitment?
Time commitment varies by program. Foundations tracks typically run for 4 weeks of intensive workshops. We will meet Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm. Time commitment varies by program. Are internship opportunities paid?
Yes, we prioritize sustainable pathways. Most training tracks include stipends, and all industry-partnered internships are either paid or provided for academic credit, depending on the specific placement.
What is the format of the training?
We utilize a hybrid learning model. Theoretical foundations and production planning sessions are held virtually, while all technical and craft skills training takes place in-person at local studios or active film sets.
How are internship matches determined?
Internship matching is a collaborative process. We pair you with partners based on your demonstrated technical proficiency, attendance during training, and your specific career goals identified during the program.
What is the tuition?
Production Pathways is an application-based training program. Tuition is covered through partnerships with employers, workforce organizations, and funders. Accepted participants do not pay tuition directly.
Will I receive a diploma?
You will not receive a diploma, you will receive a certificate of completion.
Will we have a lunch break?
Absolutely! This program is fully sponsored, we will provide you lunch, coffee, water and snacks throughout the day; Monday - Friday.
I can't attend, I have a fulltime job.
Once accepted into the program, we will work with you so that you can attend. We want you to succeed both in and outside of the program.
I don't have transportation, how can I get there?
We unfortuantely, do not provide transportation. But look at this hurdle as a start within the industry. When working in in the industry, you will be given locations you need to arrive by a certain time. It is your responsibility to find a way there. I would suggest reviewing the metro map as a place to start. If you enter the address in google maps, it may alternate routes to the location.
What is the format of the training?
Our training takes place in-person in group setting. During the training program, we will visit live sets and productions. The training will be rigirous, but will also NOT be an ordinary classroom setting.
